Database Administrator 2Texas Health and Human Services Commission requires the services of a Database Administrator 2, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Database Administrator 2, Data/Database Administration and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law. Texas Health and Human Services Commission will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).M204 database experience desired but not required.Candidate Skills and QualificationsMinimum Requirements: Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity.7 years required: Extensive experience in using database access tools for application delivery, such as Informatica, or Oracle OCI5 years required: Strong knowledge of database management systems, as well as data warehouse management and decision support tools5 years required: Extensive experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of data warehouses and data marts is desired5 years required: Experience in business objects and in building the data dictionary5 years required: Strong familiarity with analysis, planning and management reporting functions5 years required: Well-developed oral and written communications skills5 years required: Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills5 years required: Extremely high level of analytical ability where problems are very unusual and extremely difficult5 years required: Understanding of benchmarking processes and techniques5 years required: Very high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees, and elicit work output5 years required: Data Warehousing data population and data modeling techniques for target structures such as Star Schemas, Snowflake Schemas, and highly normalized data models5 years required: GUI based ETL tools such as Informatica, IBM WebSphere DataStage, or similar tools.5 years required: Implementation experience with enterprise class databases e.g. Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, etc. or similar technologies.5 years required: Implementation experience with analytical and reporting tools e.g. Business Objects, Cognos, Hyperion, MicroStrategy or similar tools.5 years required: Experience with data warehouse implementation process, from business requirements through logical modeling, physical database design, data sourcing and data transformation, data loading, Structured Query Language (SQL), end-user tools, database and SQL pe5 years required: Excellent analytical; problem-solving; team playing; and oral and written communication skills.5 years required: Proven ability to work successfully with technical and non-technical groups and manage multiple responsibilities.
