Job Description

• Escort patients to exam rooms
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures, administer medications, and perform tests.
• Assist patients with questions about medications and wound care.
• File charts; ensure all related reports, labs, and information are available in patients' medical records before their appointment
• Take telephone messages; provide feedback and answer patient/physician/pharmacy calls
• Process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians
• Clean and restock examination rooms
• Sterilize instruments

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
• Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
• Excellent computer skills
• Candidate must be willing to be cross trained in clerical duties
• Candidate must be willing to train at our Latham location

Job Type: Full-time: 7:30am-5pm

Pay range $20-24/hr

Experience: 1+ year(s) of Medical Assistant experience (Required)

Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, and OSHA regulation (Required)

EMR experience (Required)

Dermatology experience (Preferred)

Front desk experience (Preferred)

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Bachelor's degree (preferred)

Certifications/Licenses: Medical Assisting Certification (Preferred)
