Staff Accountant

Lighthouse Search is partnering with a rapidly growing chemical manufacturing and distribution company headquartered in The Woodlands, TX. As the business continues to expand through organic growth and strategic initiatives, they are seeking a Staff Accountant to join their accounting team and help support a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a growth-oriented company where they can gain broad exposure across the accounting function and contribute to process improvements and operational scalability. Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory accounting functions as needed Assist with fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures Partner with operations, supply chain, and other business units to support financial initiatives Assist with audits, tax support, and other compliance-related activities Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls Support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as the company continues to grow Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations Advanced Excel skills ERP experience required; NetSuite experience is a plus Experience within manufacturing, distribution, chemicals, or other inventory-based environments is preferred Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities Why Join?
