Buyer Associate

Buyer Associate – Procurement Ferguson Industrial has a position open for a Buyer Associate to provide procurement expertise and customer service functions working on site with a team at our customer location in Madisonville, KY. Location Madisonville, KY – on-site work with a team at the customer location. Responsibilities Perform a range of procurement activities. Monitor inventory and manage product shortages. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors and internal departments, acting as point of contact for queries. Lead negotiations of contracts, including terms and volume discounts. Draft procurement reports, analyze inventory and project utilization, and recommend useful insights. Expedite orders. Reconcile payable discrepancies. Manage freight billing and audit processes. Research specifications of products not clearly identified. Enter and edit purchase orders and blanket order releases. Ensure product file integrity. Maintain good customer and supplier relations. Reconcile customer problems. Qualifications Previous experience in a buyer role preferred. Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) experience preferred. Proven ability to follow documented procedures. Knowledge of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) products preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Detail oriented with proven organization skills and high accuracy. Strong customer service skills and problem‑solving proficiency. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and strong communication skills. Pay Range $15.00 - $26.13 per hour. Bonus or incentive plan eligible. Wage may vary by location.
