Outpatient Physical Therapist

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient's needs, goals, and physician direction. This role is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that allow for an effective return to community activities. The therapist also serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves while performing other professional duties associated with patient care and the development of therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on progressing patients towards discharge.
• Complete medical record documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensure care is provided under signed physician orders and within insurance approval.
• Participate in the student program by providing supervision and support.
• Actively pursue professional development and continuing education opportunities.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Understand and implement organizational performance improvement methodologies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Active CPR certification.
• Must maintain an applicable state license for the role.

Schedule

This is a full-time position following a 5x8.0 schedule.
