Receiving Material Handler

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Communicate with inbound transportation provider Assist carrier with US Customs import clearance Physically receive freight Accurately verify material received with vendor packing list Record all discrepancies Transact shipment details accurately into ERPIn Assist with moving and putting away material Adhere to all Safety, Quality, Environment, Security and Employee Handbook regulations SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES : This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS :To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE : High School Diploma or equivalent.One to three years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience). LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. COMPUTER SKILLS : Ability to log in, log out, and easily navigate through MS Windows-based interface. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

Communicate with US customs broker/freight forwarder to assist with classifying import for US Customs clearance. SALARY RANGE

The starting hourly rate for the role is between USD $17.00 and $22.00. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for variable bonus programs and benefits.
