We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will provide evidence-based care to help patients improve strength, range of motion, endurance, coordination, and overall functional mobility. This position requires strong communication skills, sensitivity to patients experiencing pain, and the ability to build trust through hands‑on, patient‑centered care. A caregiver in this position works part time: 32 hours or as needed during the day shift (M‑Th, 7:30 am – 7:00 pm or Fri, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm). All locations are in our East Region; the employee can be anywhere in the east region, with a “home base” at Willoughby Hills. Locations include Willoughby Hills, Euclid, Mentor, CCAC (Beachwood), Hillcrest, Chardon, Madison, Solon, Stephanie Tubbs Jones, Southpointe, Chagrin Falls, and Canfield. Responsibilities Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient’s condition. Establish, revise, and evaluate a plan of care that addresses identified problems and involves the patient/family in accordance with their capabilities and desires. Perform therapy interventions using standard physical therapy techniques and skills appropriate for the age and condition of the patient. Supervise activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel. Minimum qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or certificate. Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association. Current State licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross. Preferred qualifications Experience in a clinical area. Dry needling background. Physical Requirements Ability to walk and climb stairs without an assistive device and to maintain balance despite sudden load to prevent patient fall. Ability to meet physical demands characterized at the heavy level defined by 1993 Leonard Matheson and Ministry of Labor. Ability to lift and reach with arms to assist patient during therapeutic treatment. Sensation of touch and manual dexterity to palpate muscle tension or monitor patient pulse. Visual acuity to observe patient gross and fine motor movements and read all patient monitors. Ability to speak clearly to instruct patients and families. Ability to hear at a conversational level to understand patient description of symptoms and response to treatment. Personal Protective Equipment Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
