The Power Plant Electrical Specialist is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the complex electrical infrastructure of power generation facilities. They ensure the safe and efficient operation of high-voltage systems, generators, and auxiliary equipment. Key Responsibilities

The Power Plant Electrical Specialist is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the complex electrical infrastructure of power generation facilities. They ensure the safe and efficient operation of high-voltage systems, generators, and auxiliary equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose faults on generators, switchgears, transformers, and motor control centers (MCC).
- Calibrate electrical devices, execute protective relay testing, and use specialized equipment (like oscilloscopes and multimeters) to verify circuit integrity.
- Enforce strict OSHA and plant-specific safety regulations during electrical isolation, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures, and routine operations.
- Read and interpret complex electrical schematics, update wiring diagrams, and track maintenance records in the plant's computerized system.
- Assist engineering teams during planned outages by installing, upgrading, and testing new plant machinery and auxiliary power systems.
- Requires a minimum of a High School diploma, any specialized vocational/technical training, or an Associate/Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology would be a strong plus.
- Ideally looking for a Journeyman Electrician.
- 3 to 7+ years of hands-on industrial electrical experience, ideally within a power plant, heavy manufacturing, or engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) distribution, power protection schemes, and Balance of Plant (BOP)
