Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Location: Sarasota, FL.
Job Type: Part-time (Male candidates only)
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday - 6am to 4pm
Setting: In-Person Outpatient

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a growing outpatient healthcare team in Sarasota, FL.

This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who enjoys a fast-paced clinical environment, diverse patient population, and meaningful patient interaction . The ideal candidate will be comfortable providing primary and urgent care while also having an interest or experience in wellness services.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients independently within scope of practice.

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and obtain vital signs and BMI measurements.

• Review personal and family medical histories.

• Prescribe medications and provide patient education.

• Administer medications, injections, and immunizations.

• Perform minor procedures, including:

  • Wound care

  • Suturing

  • Splinting

  • Laceration repair

• Provide appropriate follow-up care and patient counseling.

• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

• Efficiently manage a diverse patient population in a high-volume outpatient setting.

• Preventive and wellness care

Qualifications

• Active Florida NP or PA license .

• Master's degree or higher in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies.

• FNP, AGNP, or appropriate advanced practice certification for the position.

• Current DEA registration and prescribing privileges.

• BLS/ACLS certification required.

• Experience in primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, or a related outpatient setting preferred.

• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication and bedside manner.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a small, self-directed clinical team.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
