Position Overview

Beckerle Consultants, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage data center infrastructure, white-space construction, and mission-critical projects throughout the United States.

This position will be based at our corporate office in Fenton, Missouri and will have responsibility for projects from turnover by estimating/preconstruction through procurement, construction, financial management, closeout, and final project reconciliation.
The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of coordination between Beckerle, customers, general contractors, engineers, manufacturers, vendors, subcontractors, and field personnel. This individual will be responsible for maintaining project schedules and documentation while actively managing the financial performance and P&L of assigned projects .
The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction, data centers, mission-critical facilities, electrical infrastructure, low-voltage systems, specialty construction, or a closely related field.

• Structural plenum ceiling systems
• Hot and cold aisle containment systems
• Overhead structural framing and support systems
• Conveyance supports for fiber, wire basket, and related infrastructure
• Liquid-to-chip piping and conveyance support structures
• Raised access floor structural support and modifications
• Security cages
• CAT5, CAT6, coax, and fiber-optic cabling
• Network rack inventory and assembly
• Data hall signage and labeling
• DC and UPS battery installation, maintenance, testing, de-installation, and disposal
• Low-voltage (-48V) primary and secondary power distribution
• Grounding audits, corrections, and system expansions
• Monitoring system architecture and installation
• Asset verification and CAD documentation of existing conditions

Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution

Manage multiple projects from award through final completion and closeout.

• Review project contracts, proposals, drawings, specifications, scope documents, schedules, and customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, procurement requirements, and deliverables.
• Coordinate project activities with customers, general contractors, engineers, manufacturers, vendors, subcontractors, and Beckerle field personnel.
• Conduct project kickoff meetings and communicate scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and customer expectations to the project team.
• Identify project risks, scope gaps, schedule conflicts, and potential cost impacts before they affect project performance.
• Participate in customer and contractor project meetings and provide accurate status updates.
• Support field supervisors and installation crews with the information, materials, drawings, and decisions required to maintain production.

Submittals & Technical Documentation

• Prepare, manage, and submit product data, technical data sheets, samples, and other required project submittals .
• Coordinate and submit manufacturer shop drawings and submittal drawings for customer, engineer, and GC review.
• Maintain complete submittal logs and track submissions through review, revision, approval, and release for fabrication or installation.
• Review manufacturer drawings and product information against project drawings, specifications, and Beckerle's contracted scope.
• Manage RFIs and coordinate responses with customers, engineers, manufacturers, and field personnel.
• Maintain current drawings, specifications, approved submittals, RFIs, change documentation, and other project records.

Change Order Management

• Identify changes in scope and conditions that may result in additional cost or schedule impact.
• Prepare and track change order requests, pricing, supporting documentation, and approvals .
• Maintain an accurate change order log for each project.
• Coordinate labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, travel, and schedule impacts associated with changes.
• Ensure additional work is properly documented and authorized before execution whenever contract conditions allow.
• Incorporate approved change orders into project forecasts and financial reporting.

Project Financial Management / P&L
The Project Manager will have direct responsibility for the financial performance of assigned projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Establish and maintain project budgets following project award.
• Track labor hours, labor costs, material purchases, equipment, subcontractors, travel, per diem, freight, rentals, and other project expenses .
• Compare actual costs and committed costs against the project budget.
• Review field labor hours and productivity against estimated hours.
• Maintain an accurate cost-to-complete and projected final project margin .
• Identify budget variances and develop corrective actions when projects begin trending outside the original estimate.
• Track project billings, change orders, outstanding commitments, and financial exposure.
• Provide management with regular project financial forecasts.
• Maintain responsibility for the P&L and profitability of assigned projects .
• Complete project financial reconciliation at closeout.

Procurement & Material Management
Coordinate purchasing and release of project materials.

• Work directly with manufacturers and vendors to obtain pricing, lead times, technical information, drawings, and delivery schedules.
• Track long-lead materials and identify procurement risks.
• Coordinate material deliveries with project schedules and field requirements.
• Verify purchased materials and quantities align with approved project scope and budget.

Field & Customer Coordination
Maintain regular communication with field supervisors regarding Client, productivity, schedule, material requirements, site conditions, and project constraints.

• Coordinate Client requirements with Beckerle operations.
• Review field reports, labor hours, progress, and upcoming work.
• Travel to project sites as required for kickoff meetings, customer meetings, field verification, project reviews, and closeout.
• Develop strong working relationships with customers, general contractors, engineering firms, manufacturers, and project stakeholders.
• Represent Beckerle professionally and maintain a high level of customer service throughout the project.

Required Qualifications
3–5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction, data centers, mission-critical facilities, electrical, low-voltage, specialty construction, or related industries.

• Demonstrated experience managing projects from award through completion.
• Experience preparing and managing product data and technical submittals .
• Experience coordinating manufacturer shop drawings and submittal drawings .
• Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets and financial performance.
• Experience tracking labor hours, material costs, expenses, commitments, and change orders.
• Ability to understand project estimates and compare actual project performance against estimated labor and costs.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and standard project- management/document -control software.
• Ability and willingness to travel to project locations as required.
