Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Provide clinical assessments and psychotherapy to individuals, groups, and families experiencing mental health challenges, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches. \n
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in schools to advance student mental health and actively support their academic success. \n
- Create individualized, integrated care plans that outline specific treatment goals and interventions. \n
- Deliver short-term interventions and crisis support to clients, identifying the most appropriate next steps or referrals as needed. \n
- Conduct clinically-driven screenings and gather comprehensive information to develop a thorough understanding of clients' needs. \n
- Monitor client progress closely, analyzing treatment outcomes to ensure continual improvement and access to necessary services. \n
- Actively participate in case consultation meetings, contributing insights to improve service delivery and ensure the highest quality of care. \n
- Document all client interactions and maintain records in accordance with ethical and organizational guidelines. \n
- Engage in community outreach efforts to raise awareness and provide education on available mental health resources. \n
- Maintain an on-call schedule to provide immediate support during designated hours as required. \n
The ideal candidate will work closely with students who demonstrate symptoms of major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders. Special attention will be given to fostering a judgment-free environment that respects each individual's diverse backgrounds, traditions, and experiences. This role necessitates a deep understanding of the developmental needs of children and adolescents, as well as the challenges they face in both academic and personal contexts.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) is required. \n
- Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Maryland. \n
- At least 2 years of experience working as a clinician in mental health settings, preferably in schools or related environments. \n
- Demonstrated ability to assess, diagnose, and provide effective treatment for various mental health conditions. \n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong emphasis on active listening and empathy. \n
- Strong organizational and planning abilities to manage caseload effectively and maintain timely documentation. \n
- Competency in addressing various age-related or specialty issues tailored to the populations served. \n
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred but not required. \n
While the organization requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience, candidates with additional experience in school settings or community mental health are highly encouraged to apply. Experience conducting individual, group, and family therapy is particularly beneficial.
