Overview Hospice: Is responsible to oversee the daily operations, programs and services of the nursing and home health aide departments. To assure quality patient services and facilitate processes in accordance with agency policies and procedures. Plans, directs, and participates in the delivery of professional services, assists in controlling costs through effective use of personnel, establishes and implements priorities for services. Position Summaries Hospice: Is responsible to oversee the daily operations, programs and services of the nursing and home health aide departments. To assure quality patient services and facilitate processes in accordance with agency policies and procedures. Plans, directs, and participates in the delivery of professional services, assists in controlling costs through effective use of personnel, establishes and implements priorities for services. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Supervises and evaluates assigned staff and provides on-the-job training, assuring clinical competencies. Explains and presents information regarding performance issues to staff. Communicates effectively with staff, clients, families and other disciplines. Interacts with health care professionals and physicians. Provides customer service consistent with organization values, standards, and policies. Oversees the quality and appropriateness of services and staffing as well as their availability to meet patient care needs. Qualifications Required: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan. Two years progressive supervisory experience. One year experience in a Hospice setting. Valid driver’s license, proof of valid auto insurance, and maintain a driving record in accordance with McLaren’s corporate driving policy and eligibility guidelines BLS certification required within first week of hire.
