ASCP - Medical Technician
MLR is actively seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will conduct a variety of complex tests that are vital to our laboratory's daily operations, aiding in patient diagnosis and treatment. Qualifications of a Medical Technician:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MT/MLS) or equivalent certification (e.g., MLT, CLS, or MT/MLS ASCP). Certification must be achieved within 9 months after hire date.
- Proficiency in performing a variety of laboratory tests and operating laboratory equipment.
Responsibilities of a Medical Technician:
- Perform a wide range of laboratory tests, including hematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, immunology, and molecular diagnostics.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols to ensure accuracy and precision in test performance.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and perform routine maintenance as needed.
- Analyze test results, interpret findings, and report data accurately and efficiently.
