Auditor, Asset and Wealth Management

We are seeking an experienced Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) Auditor – Senior Associate to support assurance engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients within the financial services industry. This individual will provide external audit services and accounting expertise to clients ranging from emerging, high-growth organizations to large, complex entities.

The ideal candidate will have substantial external audit experience within the Asset & Wealth Management industry, technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with engagement teams and clients in a fast-paced professional services environment. Duration: 3-month contract Preferred Locations: New York City, Chicago, Boston, Miami, Houston, Dallas, and San Francisco

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in external auditing, with substantial experience in the Asset & Wealth Management industry.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, U.S. GAAS, and PCAOB auditing standards.
• Demonstrated understanding of industry-specific accounting, financial reporting, and audit requirements.
• Experience working on complex audit engagements within a public accounting or professional services environment.
• Analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engagement teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality work in a deadline-driven environment.
• Familiarity with audit technology, automation, data analytics, and digital audit solutions.

salary: $67 - $70 per hour

Responsibilities

• Execute external audit and assurance engagements for Asset & Wealth Management clients.
• Apply U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP), U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (U.S. GAAS), and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) standards, as applicable.
• Evaluate complex accounting and financial reporting matters relevant to the AWM industry.
• Assess financial statements, internal controls, audit documentation, and supporting financial information.
• Collaborate with engagement teams and client stakeholders to identify and resolve audit issues and deliver high-quality results.
• Manage multiple priorities, meet engagement deadlines, and communicate audit findings effectively.
• Build client relationships by managing expectations, incorporating feedback, and providing practical recommendations.
• Leverage automation, data analytics, data visualization, and other digital tools to improve audit efficiency and quality.
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, assess risks, and support audit conclusions.
• Contribute to team development, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
