Manager Notes:

• This position is onsite WHQ for the hybrid work schedule. The manager is open to relocation.
• Expected contract length: Full two year assignment- FTE roles may open on this team in the future
• Team details & who they will work with: Will work under Director, IT Asset Management & ITSM - IT service management and asset management. Could work across multiple orgs with teams and could change day to day
• Desired Candidate Profile:
  • Minimum required years of experience: 5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management or Licensing Management in a global enterprise environment.
  • Education requirements: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have skills:
  • Enterprise level software experience - Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, IBM, SAP)

  • Reporting

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Software Asset Management
    ITAM/SAM certifications (e.g., CSAM, CITAM, ISO 19770)
  • Previous Nike/industry experience preference: Nice to have former Nike experience but not required

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for an experienced, analytical, and results-driven Software Asset Manager to join our Global Technology organization. In this role, you'll own and evolve the software asset lifecycle strategy across our global enterprise-ensuring license compliance, optimizing software investments, and reducing risk across a complex technology landscape.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of software licensing, vendor management, and asset governance. You bring a passion for automation, continuous improvement, and enterprise-scale problem solving. You thrive in ambiguity and know how to build trust with stakeholders across technology, legal, finance, and procurement.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As a Software Asset Manager, you will:

• Lead the end-to-end lifecycle management of all enterprise software assets-from procurement through retirement.
• Manage license compliance for key publishers (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, IBM, SAP) and prepare for and respond to software audits.
• Maintain and mature the SAM Pro module in ServiceNow, ensuring accuracy of entitlement, discovery, and consumption data.
• Analyze software usage to identify cost savings, eliminate shelfware, and recommend rightsizing or harvesting opportunities.
• Partner with Legal and Procurement to support contract negotiations, renewals, and true-ups with actionable license data.
• Define and enforce enterprise-wide policies, controls, and processes to mitigate software compliance risk.
• Produce executive-level dashboards and reporting to enable governance and drive strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with InfoSec, Architecture, and Business Technology teams to ensure approved, secure, and licensed software is deployed.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You'll report to the Director of Global Software Asset Management and work closely with Software Procurement, Legal, InfoSec, Enterprise Architecture, Finance, and Technology stakeholders globally. You'll also collaborate with vendor representatives and audit partners to manage risk and maximize value.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management or Licensing Management in a global enterprise environment.
• Strong working knowledge of enterprise software licensing models (e.g., user-based, device-based, subscription, cloud/SaaS).
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro, Flexera, Snow, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with software compliance frameworks and audit response practices.
• Proven ability to interpret and translate complex license agreements into actionable controls and insights.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Experience defending software audits or leading true-up negotiations
