- Conduct thorough evaluations for diverse patient populations, utilizing established assessments and constructive observations.
- Create tailored treatment plans to meet both immediate and long-range therapeutic goals related to communication, cognition, or swallowing.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy focusing on communication effectiveness, language development, fluency, and swallowing interventions.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical staff, and family members to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide education and resources for patients and their families to enrich progress beyond clinical sessions.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to maintain high standards of continuity and care.
- Ensure meticulous documentation is maintained in compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology awarded by an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required prior to obtaining ASHA certification.
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for patients of all ages, thoroughly familiar with developmental and acquired communication disorders.
