As a School Psychologist on a contract basis in Carson City, Nevada, you'll collaborate with a dedicated team of educators, administrators, and families to ensure every child receives the support they need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete thorough psychoeducational evaluations, interpreting results to guide interventions
• Participate actively in eligibility and special education processes according to state and federal standards
• Develop and implement evidence-based social-emotional and behavioral strategies
• Offer individual or group counseling sessions tailored to student needs
• Consult regularly with teachers, staff, and families to address academic and behavioral concerns
• Assist with Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Support Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs)
• Respond to crisis situations, providing immediate support
• Maintain timely and confidential documentation
• Engage in multidisciplinary meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
• Contribute to an inclusive, positive school climate

Qualifications:

• Master’s or specialist-level degree in School Psychology, Educational Psychology, or a closely related field
• Valid or eligible School Psychologist licensure/certification in Nevada
• Familiarity with psychoeducational assessment, special education services, and behavioral interventions
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
• Preferred: Experience in school-based settings working with students of diverse backgrounds
