A day in the life of a Senior Planner, Footwear at Vans looks a little like this. As a Senior Planner of Footwear, you will optimize enterprise-level OTB strategies across key markets, aligning financial plans with corporate objectives. You will collaborate with merchandising, finance, supply chain, and regional teams to drive planning transformation, implementing new tools, analytics, and best practices for global efficiency. The Senior Planner, Footwear reports to the Director, Global Footwear Planning, and will work a hybrid schedule (3 days/week in our Costa Mesa office, 2x/week from home). • Enterprise-Level OTB & Financial Ownership Owns and optimizes OTB strategy across all key markets, aligning financial plans with corporate objectives while maximizing profitability and minimizing excess stock.
• Executive-Level Influence & Process Improvement Partners with key functions like merchandising, finance, supply chain, and regional teams to drive business-wide planning transformation, implementing new tools, analytics, and best practices to enhance efficiency across global operations.
• Global Assortment Analytically support the formulation of the global product assortment and the phases of product life cycle (preseason product line planning and in-season global trend analysis).
• Sales Analytics Supports reporting across Vans' global markets, contrasting top-down plans to consolidation of data from multiple regions to track demand trends across DTC stores/ecommerce, wholesale, and franchise.
• Demand Planning Develops and maintains demand forecasts for key Vans product categories (e.g., Classics, Skate, Apparel) across multiple global markets, ensuring alignment with brand and regional sales strategies. Topline, attribute, style/color level.
• Assortment Management & Optimization Manages assortment ROI globally & across multiple regions, adjusting assortment flow based on trend.
• Cross-Functional Market Alignment Works with regional merchandising, finance, and supply chain teams to align assortment and sales strategies across different consumer segments, factoring in key consumer moments, pricing strategies, and macroeconomic

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 6+ years of experience and professional achievements.

• The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
• Proven Planning experience in an Omni, Multiple Retail Concept environment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills including the ability to read, analyze and interpret retail reports.
• A proactive business management approach, completing all assignments and job duties in a timely manner.
• Advanced computer skills including Excel and Word.

Hiring Range: $90,720.00 USD - $113,400.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
