Registered Nurse - Complex Intervention Unit

Location: South Carolina

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3x12 hour shifts with holiday rotation.

Job Description: The Complex Intervention Unit (CIU) is a specialized 18-bed adult Med-Surge/Acute-Care unit focused on patients with co-occurring medical and behavioral health conditions. This role involves working in a dynamic environment, providing comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care for patients with co-occurring medical and behavioral health needs.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort by adhering to established care standards and protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and document patient condition and administer medications as prescribed.
• Support patients and families through education and emotional support.
• Participate in unit staffing and assist with onboarding new team members.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience required.
• Active RN license in South Carolina or a Multi-State/Compact State RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
