Store Manager in Training

Overview The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) position is a development-focused role designed to prepare candidates for a future CVS Store Manager role. The program includes 16 weeks of self‑paced, collaborative training with virtual and hands‑on learning experiences. Key Responsibilities Actively engage with your District Leader and store leaders in Key Learning Experiences to support your path to promotion. Support the store as a management team member; lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies. Engage colleagues in the company's purpose of “helping people on their path to better health.” Accept promotion roles within the designated market and work a schedule that may vary based on business needs. Communicate verbally and in writing to support and lead the team. Perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service. Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth. Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor. Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market. Willingness to accept promotion to Store Manager at any location in the designated market. Compensation & Benefits Full‑time position: 40 hours per week. Pay range: $18.50 – $26.25 per hour (base).
