Massage Therapist (On-Call)The Sensei massage therapists will provide professional massages and body treatments. Therapists will be expected to provide high-quality, luxury services to guests, and will report to the Director of Wellness and Spa.ResponsibilitiesAdminister professional massage and body treatments to guestsHave a thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities and possess a general understanding of body treatmentsEnsures that all necessary equipment is set up prior to each service appointment, and cleaned up after each guestReview and maintain an inventory of supplies and ensure enough supplies are available for the spa facilitiesPresent lectures and workshops on massage topicsBe on time for shift, prompt with each appointment and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the serviceProvide accurate and detailed descriptions of treatments, packages, services, treatment contraindications, facility features and hours of operationHave complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offeredHave a passion for ongoing education and learningContinuously stay up to date on research and trends in your modalities in order to incorporate and provide recommendations on new techniquesUphold the standards of sanitation and sterilizationPerform all job duties in a safe manner and abide by all safety policies and proceduresAdhere to all company and departmental guidelinesPerform other tasks as requested by supervisorDemonstrate warmth and sincerity in all interactionsMaintain a professional and welcoming demeanor in both verbal and nonverbal communicationTake ownership of all guest requests and be proactive in ensuring resolution as neededAlways maintain impeccable grooming and personal hygiene and wear uniform as directedUphold Sensei values in daily practicesSuccessfully complete all training and certifications needed for the positionEnsure the confidentiality and security of all guestsReport all faulty equipment, supply needs, maintenance needs, safety hazards, injuries, and other concerns immediately to your supervisorLeadership –Maintain a positive, upbeat role, promote and exemplify Company values and represents departmental objectives and interests to internal and external customersCustomer Service –Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns; respond to internal/external customer needs in a friendly, timely and efficient mannerTeamwork -Develop and promote teamwork and cooperation among co-workersSafety –Comply with established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training provided or made available by the CompanyDue to the intimate nature of the resort with limited number of guests on property, must assist teams laterally across all departments to lead a seamless guest flow throughout the different resort spacesOther duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED2+ years experience in luxury spa or wellness3+ years experience of Massage workRequired Technical/Other Skills and AbilitiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsBe familiar with the existing and emerging health and safety protocols associated with COVID-19 and how such events have impacted our business, guests, and employeesRequired Licenses/CertificationsActive CAMTC certificateAbout SenseiFounded by Dr. David Agus and Larry Ellison, our ecosystem of products and experiences is designed with one intention: to empower you to grow well and lead the world toward greater wellbeing.Based on Dr. Agus' philosophy, Sensei believes we can guide our guests to greater wellbeing by offering experiential movement, rest and nourishment classes and programs.
