Position Overview

Our client is seeking a highly skilled ADF Engineer with strong experience in Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Databricks to design, build, and scale enterprise-grade data solutions.

This role will be responsible for developing robust ETL/ELT pipelines, supporting modern cloud-based data platforms, and delivering high-quality data solutions that drive analytics, reporting, and business decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on technical expertise across the full data engineering lifecycle and be comfortable working closely with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders.

Must-Have Skills: Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, SQL, Python / Scala / Java, Apache Spark, ETL / ELT Development, Cloud Data Engineering

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL Development, Backend Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) .
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks .
• Advanced SQL skills with experience in data modeling and performance optimization.
• Experience with Python, Scala, or Java.
• Experience working with distributed data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark .
• Experience designing and supporting cloud-based data solutions on Azure, AWS, or GCP .
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and modern analytics ecosystems.
• Experience with source control, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently own and deliver complex technical solutions.

Other Qualifications

• Experience with streaming and real-time data technologies such as Kafka .
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as ADF, Airflow, or similar platforms .
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
• Experience supporting BI, analytics, reporting, or machine learning initiatives.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading technical projects.
• Experience with modern Lakehouse architectures and enterprise-scale data platforms.
