Chief Medical Officer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Physicians will perform clinical medical services as directed by the Medical Director.
• Will also participate in precepting physician assistant students, nurse practitioner students, and other identified students as requested.
• The physician serves as a consulting resource and multi-disciplinary team member to mid-level providers, behavioral health professionals, ancillary clinic providers, and other physicians in the clinic.
• Physicians will mentor and advise nursing staff in the best patient care education and practices.
• Physicians will provide patients with Patient Centered Care Model assessments, interventions, direct care, and support services (e.g., labs, imaging, specialty referrals, case management, and education) to achieve optimum patient health outcomes.

• Previous experience working with underserved and/or multicultural populations is highly desired.
• Certification through the Drug Enforcement Agency and a valid Physician, Medical Doctor, or Doctor of Osteopathy Licensure in Washington State is required.
• BLS/CPR certification is required.

• Completion of an accredited medical doctor or doctor of osteopathy program is required.
• Board certification or board-eligible in an area of specialty (e.g., internists/pediatricians, family practice, obstetrics/gynecology) required.
• Family Practice specialty is strongly preferred. Maintain current State of WA DOH and DEA licenses with timely continuing education requirements.

• Must be able to secure credentialing through identified agencies (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.). Effective oral and written communication skills required.
• Physicians must be able to work with patients, the community, and coworkers using "Sacred Hospitality." Keyboarding, computer, and EHR skills required.
• Maintain patient records containing pertinent, accurate, and current information in compliance with the Privacy Act, HIPAA, and RCW/WAC policy, procedures, and rules.

• Providers must be able to move around the facility between 1/3rd and 2/3rds of the day and sit at a workstation or in patient rooms.
• Using hands occurs over 2/3rds of the day while reaching with arms occurs less than 1/3rd of the day. Communicating is also required over 2/3rds of the day, while climbing, stooping, or crawling is minimal.
• Lifting to 10 lbs. occurs about half the time, while up to and above 25 lbs. occurs only occasionally.
