Job Summary: The Rollback Wrecker Driver is responsible for operating a non-CDL rollback truck to safely load, transport, and unload vehicles and light equipment. This role requires a strong focus on safety, customer service, and attention to detail. The position is Monday through Friday, but also requires some on-call and weekend availability. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and have experience in vehicle transport or towing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle/Equipment Transport: Safely load and unload vehicles and light equipment using proper securing methods on a non-CDL rollback truck.
• Customer Interaction: Provide courteous and professional service to customers, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns or questions.
• Roadside Assistance: Respond promptly to towing requests and breakdowns, including some on-call and weekend work as needed.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including properly securing loads, obeying traffic laws, and utilizing appropriate safety gear.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the truck to ensure it is in proper working condition. Report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
• Documentation: Accurately complete logs and records of transport activities, including trip details, vehicle conditions, and any incidents during transport.
• Communication: Coordinate with dispatch to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (non-CDL).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a rollback truck or similar vehicle.
• Knowledge of proper loading, securing, and transporting techniques for vehicles.
• Ability to operate rollback controls safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on safety.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some on-call and weekend shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in towing or roadside assistance services.
• Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicles and towing equipment.
