Services Solution Advisor Expert

Overview The Services Solution Advisor (SSA) is a customer-facing role that champions SAP Success Plans, driving sales and market development through strategic positioning across selected industries or geographies. Core Tasks Business development: hunt opportunities across a given industry or geography, position value, and close sales cycles for selected solutions with existing and new customers. Develop and own a strategy/plan for positioning and selling selected services solutions to drive incremental bookings and revenue. Evangelize the market on selected Success Plan services solutions. Design and drive demand generation activities, leveraging events, campaigns, social media, cold calls, and other relevant channels. Generate and qualify opportunities within prospects and existing customers. Lead the pursuit team and own the opportunity end‑to‑end while aligning with sales teams and mobilizing relevant teams. Orchestrate and own opportunities for own solution(s) end‑to‑end from initial qualification to successful closure and revenue conversion. Support the account team in the sales cycle as a trusted solution advisor. Conduct executive meetings and discovery sessions with customer LOB or IT teams. Key Responsibilities & Tasks The SSA proactively positions SAP Services in specific focus areas, provides subject‑matter expertise on Success Plans, and serves as a go‑to person for designing and positioning business‑successful customer adoption. Account and Stakeholder Management Co‑develop and co‑own strategy for positioning and selling selected services solutions in the territory, industry, or geography. Design and drive demand generation activities across relevant channels. In close alignment with SAP Account Management, win customers in focus areas and demonstrate the value of SAP Success Plans. Drive execution of a value‑based innovation roadmap. Act as Trusted Solution Advisor and ‘Topic Captain’ throughout the sales cycle. Provide expertise on overall solution approach, selecting the right combination of partner, product, and services. Commercial Accountability Evangelize selected Success Plans solutions on the market. Generate and qualify opportunities within prospects and existing customers. Contribute to contract negotiations, focusing on how new technologies impact the commercial approach. Accountable for bookings and revenue targets for the focused and innovative services portfolio. Delivery & Service Delivery Management Define and validate the engagement with the customer in close alignment with SAP Account Management. Ensure innovation potential and delivery roadmap align with the customer's strategic solution portfolio. Main Tasks Provide specialized knowledge and guidance as the topic authority for focused SAP solutions and implementation approaches. Support the sales cycle on solution‑specific implementations, primarily during the ‘Land’ and ‘Expand’ phases. Experience & Educational Requirements Functional Experience Expertise in at least 3 strategic topic areas: Analytics, IoT, Machine Learning, Blockchain, Big Data, Customer Experience, Experience Management. Experience delivering or implementing solutions in new areas with architecture knowledge. Programming languages and concepts are an advantage. Demonstrable track record of value selling and solution selling. Proven track record in business application software and/or services sales within large, key accounts. Intimate knowledge of enterprise software projects (e.g., Cloud, hybrid, XO) and overall lifecycle management of enterprise applications. Successful track record of driving opportunity development, growth, and accurate forecasting. 5+ years of deep industry/domain expertise. Experience – SAP Specific Expertise Overall SAP Corporate Strategy and SAP Product Strategy knowledge. Strong knowledge of key SAP service offerings. Industry solutions in related practice areas. SAP Product Roadmaps in related practice areas. SAP Project Methodologies. Examples of practice areas: Analytics, Platform, Experience Management, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Customer Experience, Industry4.NOW, Sustainability, Digital Supply Chain. Experience Partner ecosystem expertise. Knowledge of SAP’s partners, competitors, and the regional IT industry. Effective collaboration and management of the SAP partner ecosystem relative to assigned accounts. International experience and complex multinational customer exposure. Experience working in other countries and regions is desirable. Education Bachelor or Master’s Degree (MBA would be advantageous). Professional Training & Certification Relevant SAP offering curriculum and onboarding programs for the focus/practice area. Product training and Associate certification for the focus/practice area. Expert trainings based on functional area(s) of development. Expected Travel 0–100% Compensation Targeted annual combined range for this position is 194,100–411,600 USD. The actual offer will be within that range, depending on education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, and other factors.
