Registered Nurse (RN) - Med-Surg Acute Care/Observation Unit

Location: Colorado

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts including weekend rotation; must agree to participate in the call rotation with one call shift per two-week period as needed.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Acute Care/Med-Surg Adult unit is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to adult patients. Utilizing specialized knowledge related to critical disease states, the RN will plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Med-Surg Acute Care/Observation Unit.
• Implement and evaluate patient care plans based on nursing processes.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Acute Care, Med-Surge, or Telemetry nursing required.
• Current RN License to practice in Colorado.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Proof of a current Flu Vaccine; no exemptions allowed.
