Production Planner

Associate Production PlannerThe Associate Production Planner supports production planning and scheduling activities to ensure materials, resources and manufacturing orders are aligned with customer demand and production objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in developing and maintaining production schedules based on demand forecasts, customer orders, inventory levels and production capacityMonitor work orders and progressReview material shortages and collaborate with stakeholders to minimize production disruptionsUpdate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), routing information and planning parameters, as requiredTrack work order status, including schedule attainment, production progress, material consumption, output accuracyCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production, material and scheduling issuesGenerate and maintain production, inventory and planning reports to support operational decision makingMaintain strict adherence to company procedures, planning processes, and operational standardsPerform other duties as assigned in support of manufacturing and program needsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration or related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered0-2 years experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, or related fieldsIntern or Co-op experience in a manufacturing environment is a plusAdvanced proficiency in in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and formulas to analyze production, inventory and operational data to support planning and decision-makingStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionallyPreferred QualificationsExperience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other regulated industriesFamiliarity with Microsoft Business CentralKnowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) conceptsPhysical Requirements/Work EnvironmentExtended periods of sitting, standing and work at a computerRegular interaction with manufacturing, warehouse, and production areasExposure to production activity, controlled documents, and regulated processesUse of PPE may be required while on production floorLocationOn-site position in Stafford, VA with approximately 10% travel
