Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description

Cardinal Staffing Services is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor for a large, well-known client in Northwood, OH.


We are seeking a hands-on and results-driven Production Supervisor to lead daily warehouse and production operations. This role is responsible for meeting production and distribution goals, coaching team members, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Available shifts: 2nd shift 2:30PM to 11PM (same day overtime possible)
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meet production and distribution goals while adhering to budget and deadlines
• Train, coach, and mentor team members on daily work activities and expectations
• Conduct performance reviews and administer disciplinary actions as needed
• Coordinate, assign, and review team workload to ensure efficiency
• Set daily priorities and direct workflow within the department
• Ensure all employees are properly trained in safety procedures, equipment use, and company policies
• Maintain clear and professional communication with internal teams, customers, and suppliers
• Oversee recordkeeping, reporting, and administrative responsibilities
• Report and document all accidents/incidents within required timelines
• Monitor workplace conditions and enforce safety standards; take corrective action when needed
• Utilize problem-solving methods (e.g., 5 Why, 8D, Kaizen) to resolve operational and personnel issues
• Support continuous improvement, lean initiatives, and quality programs
• Perform other duties as assigned by Operations or Plant Manager

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic math, reading, and computer skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous warehouse experience (forklift, packing, measuring)
• Demonstrated leadership or team-building experience
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment and tolerances

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 2-3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or warehouse setting
• Experience in metals industry (staging, processing, packaging, shipping)
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Knowledge of safety programs, ISO standards, lean manufacturing, and labor relations
