Outpatient Physical Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

5x8.0 Shift

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating all assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients while ensuring the design of functional treatment programs for effective community reintegration. The therapist will also serve as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves while performing other professional duties associated with patient care.

• Complete a comprehensive evaluation of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical record documentation.
• Ensure care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approval.
• Participate in the student program by providing positive learning environments and evaluations.
• Create an individualized professional development plan with clinical management.
• Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure.
• Understand and implement performance improvement methodologies.

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• CPR certification.
• Active/applicable state licensure for Physical Therapy.
• Orthopedics experience preferred.
