This part-time position is responsible for music planning, scheduling practices and rehearsals, and providing piano music for Sunday morning worship service and other services where music is an essential part of worship. Job Summary: Part-time position responsible for music planning, scheduling practices and rehearsals, and providing piano music for Sunday morning worship service and other services where music is an essential part of worship. Job Duties: Lead the congregation in the singing of hymns, service music, and other musical arrangements, Work with the Rector in the selection of service hymns, songs, and choral pieces as well as provide appropriate music for preludes and postludes. Coordinate, rehearse with, and accompany the Choir, preferably offering practice prior to service or at other designated time. Practice the necessary amount of time to maintain a high level of skill and musicianship. Notify the Rector if there is a problem with the piano or any instruments used for worship. Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned. Job Skills and Requirements Minimum Experience Requirements Demonstrated experience as a church pianist, organist or an extensive amount of training.
