Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Location

Oro Valley, AZ | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM with Rotating Weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of emergency patient care
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
• Float to additional Emergency Department locations as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Arizona RN License required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Must be willing to float to sister Emergency Department locations in the area

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume or Level I/II trauma Emergency Department
• Strong triage assessment and prioritization skills
• Familiarity with rotating weekend scheduling in a travel or contract setting
