Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM with Rotating Weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide shift-level accountability for patient care in the Emergency Department using the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of emergency patient care
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and ongoing professional development
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care
• Float to additional emergency department locations as needed, including sister facilities in the region

Required Qualifications

• Active Arizona RN license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Must be willing to float to sister emergency department facilities within the region

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume or Level I/II trauma emergency department setting
• Familiarity with rotating weekend schedules in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong triage and patient prioritization skills
