Hourly Pay: $25-27/hour based on experience Incentive Opportunities: Earn bonuses while contributing to team success Comprehensive Benefits Package: Medical, vision, dental, 401K with match, life insurance, and disability Paid Time Off: 3 weeks PTO + 8 paid holidays Clear Growth Path: Performance-based advancement and mentorship from experienced dental professionals Education & Training: Continuing education opportunities to support your development Supportive Culture: Work in a collaborative, friendly, and patient-first atmosphere Practice Highlights Location: Avon Dental Group, 20 West Avon Road, Suite 101, Avon, CT 06001 4.9 Google rating based on 127+ reviews 14 operatories (10 for providers, 4 for hygiene) Onsite parking Digital X-rays and paperless charting (Eaglesoft & Dentrix) Multi-specialty services: General, cosmetic, restorative, endodontic, and periodontal care Schedule Wednesday & Friday - 8am-5pm Tuesday - 7:30am-5pm Thursday - 7:30am-6pm Your Role as a Dental Assistant Create a warm and comfortable experience for patients Assist with a variety of dental procedures including general and specialty care Prepare operatories and sterilize instruments to OSHA standards Capture diagnostic-quality digital X-rays Support the doctor with procedures including suctioning, instrument passing, tray setup, and patient communication Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment instructions Track and order inventory, restock supplies, and maintain cleanliness in the operatories Accurately chart in Eaglesoft/Dentrix and support front-office coordination as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required) Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program (preferred) DANB CDA, ICE, RHS, and current CPR certification (preferred) Previous dental office experience (required) Experience with Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar dental software (preferred) Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset About Avon Dental Group Avon Dental Group has proudly served families in the Farmington Valley and surrounding areas for over 40 years.
