We produce one-of-a-kind catered events and unparalleled dining experiences in a variety of cultural, corporate, entertainment, and private venues throughout New York City and beyond.The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all facets of restaurant operations, including staff management, financial oversight, customer service, inventory control, regulatory compliance, and the overall quality and profitability of the location. This role requires a combination of leadership, operational expertise, and strong customer service skills. The General Manager also serves as a brand ambassador and partner at our Shake Shack locations.Staff ManagementTrain, and supervise a diverse team, including cooks and support staffWork with the client to provide constructive feedback, and address employee issuesEnforce disciplinary measures when necessaryFinancial OversightDevelop and manage the location's budget, tracking revenue, cost of goods sold, labor expenses, and other costsAnalyze sales trends to identify opportunities to improve profitabilityManage inventory of food, beverages, and supplies to minimize wasteOperations ManagementEnsure smooth day-to-day operations while adhering to health and safety regulationsMonitor service quality and customer satisfactionAddress customer complaints promptly and professionallyImplement and uphold quality control standards for food and beverage preparationCompliance and RegulationsEnsure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws concerning food safety and labor practicesMaintain accurate documentation for permits and licensesDaily compliance checks to meet brand standard expectationsRequired Skills and QualificationsProven experience in concessions management with a successful operational track recordStrong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team union team.Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfactionFinancial proficiency, including sales entries, commissions and forecastingFamiliarity with POS systemsFlexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysUnion Square Events is a member of Compass Group USACompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
