We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Product Designer who can bring depth, clarity, and strategy to create value, lower barriers to entry, and accelerate product adoption throughout the customer journey. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for improving user-facing features and functionalities that are shared across multiple product lines or teams—including things like design systems, marketing and communications experiences, or platform services used by various product development groups. The goal is to create consistent, high-quality experiences while also driving efficiency and reducing redundancy. This role requires a unique blend of craft excellence, research proficiency, stakeholder collaboration, and inspirational leadership to guide a team of designers across product experiences. The ideal candidate is a passionate, empathetic, and visionary design leader who thrives at the intersection of design, technology, and business strategy. The role leads creative problem-solving across cross-functional teams, elevating thinking across the organization while aligning with broader business goals. Proactively gathers, synthesizes, and applies insights from design research, competitive analysis, and data to inform strategic, full-featured product experiences. Owns and drives complex programs of work, collaborating fluidly with product, engineering, and other cross-functional partners. Attracts, hires, and mentors top-tier design talent, helping to grow and strengthen the team. Approaches design with a holistic mindset to ensure we deliver seamless, end-to-end customer experiences. Effectively manages multiple projects, adapting quickly to shifting priorities and business needs. Advocates for and applies Design Thinking across the organization, embedding it into how we solve problems. Communicates clearly and compassionately, fostering collaboration and psychological safety across teams. Comfort with ambiguity along with an ability to motive teams and partners. Skill/Experience/Education: Mandatory: The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable design leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You bring a strong sense of ownership and the ability to work effectively within high-performing, cross-functional product teams. At OneMain, our teams span the East Coast, Midwest, and West Coast. We embrace an iterative approach to discovering and delivering exceptional customer experiences—and we’re looking for someone who shares that mindset. We’re seeking a candidate with the following: 10+ years of experience in product design or user experience 5+ years leading design projects, with experience managing designers or teams 3+ years of experience partnering with executive leadership on strategic initiatives A Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Interaction Design, Fine Arts, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience Deep appreciation for the full spectrum of design disciplines: interaction, visual, content, motion, and research A proven track record of shipping products across platforms and geographies, and mentoring others through the process High proficiency with tools like Figma, Miro, Usertesting.com, Dovetail, and other standard design and research platforms A strong portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end thinking, critical problem-solving, and design craft across a range of work Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners in Product, Engineering, Data, and Marketing A self-starter with excellent time management, organizational skills, and obsessive attention to detail Desired Skills: -- EEO: “Mindlance is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in employment on the basis of – Minority/Gender/Disability/Religion/LGBTQI/Age/Veterans.”
