Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas or a valid compact state RN license
• Minimum 1 year recent experience in psychiatric nursing, behavioral health, or mental health nursing
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Strong assessment, documentation, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Experience with crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and therapeutic patient care preferred
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced psychiatric unit

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adults/adolescents with psychiatric and behavioral health needs
• Administer and monitor psychiatric medications, observe and document patient responses
• Perform psychiatric assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the treatment team
• Deliver crisis intervention, de-escalation, and patient/family education
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and adhere to behavioral health facility protocols
• Accurately document clinical observations, progress notes, and discharge planning
