Staff Accountant

Client is seeking a Staff Accountant to assist with cost accounting, inventory analysis, reconciliations, and financial reporting support during a temporary coverage assignment. Salary is $70-$80k, DOE

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT:

The Staff Accountant will prepare daily and weekly operational reports related to efficiency, overtime, and labor hours
The Staff Accountant will perform inventory reconciliations for major components along with balance sheet and account reconciliations
Conduct cost analysis and factor studies related to materials and production costs
Support month-end activities including journal entry preparation and other accounting support functions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required, relevant cost accounting experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles required
Manufacturing and/or cost accounting experience is a plus, not a must

Salary is $70-$80k, DOE
