This position combines hands-on service with functional supervision of environmental services staff to ensure high-quality standards are consistently met in assigned areas.# **Education*** High School Diploma# **Certification/Licensure*** No specific certification or licensure requirements# **Experience*** Maintain assigned areas and equipment to ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.* Perform tasks such as cleaning, disinfecting, and organizing patient rooms, hallways, common areas, and workspaces.* Provide functional supervision by assigning daily tasks to Environmental Services staff and ensuring work is completed to quality standards.* Train and orient new team members, serving as a resource for ongoing support and guidance.* Monitor the quality and timeliness of staff work to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.* Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality improvement and customer service initiatives.* Respond promptly to spills, urgent cleaning needs, and requests for service from clinical staff.* Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and supplies.* Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to supervise and support a team. A detail-oriented individual who can maintain high cleanliness standards in a healthcare environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and provide clear guidance to staff.
