Elementary Teacher

Eufaula City Schools Job Description Position Title: Teacher Qualifications: Valid Alabama Professional Educator Certificate with proper endorsement(s) and, if applicable, Highly Qualified Teacher designation for teaching assignment. Reports To: Principal and designees Supervises: Students and assigned staff Job Goal: To help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible citizens. Length of Contract: 187 Days Performance Responsibilities: * Determines individual and classroom needs. * Establishes objectives and plans learning experiences. * Implements activities using a variety of techniques that utilize instructional time to meet objectives. * Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to achieve a functional learning atmosphere. * Exhibits positive human relations skills. * Evaluates the educational programs and/or student progress. * Communicates effectively and appropriately with all stakeholders including students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and community groups. * Demonstrates proficiency in written and oral communication. * Maintains and submits records and reports in an accurate and timely manner. * Adheres to Eufaula City Schools Board of Education policy and administrative guidelines, and state and federal rules and regulations. * Spends additional hours on campus participating in faculty meetings, parent conferences, in-service education meetings, PTO meetings, and with other obligations and duties. * Engages in personal professional growth and demonstrates professional ethics and leadership. * Performs other tasks as assigned by the Principal, as long as they are not in conflict with board policy. Evaluation: Evaluation is conducted by the Principal and designees. Salary: Established by the Board of Education as recommended by the Superintendent
