SHIPPING AND RECEIVING ASSOCIATE

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to and may vary dependent on areas of operation:
• Accuracy of all paperwork produced.
• Follow all customer requirements.
• Assist supervision/management as needed.
• Filing.
• Follow company policies, guidelines and work instructions.
• Maintain professional relationship with the carriers, customers and team members.
• Perform shipping and receiving duties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following:
• Check in and out all truck drivers.
• Assign Dock Doors.
• Ensure all paperwork is filled out properly.
• Place driver's license information and or seal numbers in the system.
• Fill out pallet receipts for pallet accounts and/or bill for pallets.
• Ensure cross dock paperwork is created and handed out.
• Setup trucks to pick per supervisor request.

Miscellaneous
-Maintain a professional manner in appearance and communications at all times.
-Participate in staff and/or customer meetings if required.
-Develop PC skills to perform any e-mailing, reports, label preparation and order release.
Safety, Housekeeping, Security
-Follow posted security procedures at all times while in the building.

Responsibility and Authority

-Must report overages, shortages, defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
-Required to produce accurate inbound paperwork so warehouse can confirm delivery of products.
-Receive incoming products and materials.
-Notification and/or delivery of incoming product to end user.
-Ensure back up documentation (Packing Slip etc.) to support computer system entries.
-Requires completion of daily Shipping/Receiving entries in computer system.
-Requires preparation of paper work in system, management of product to be shipped or received.
-Responsible for knowledge of product location within warehouse.
