Assistant Project Manager IThe Assistant Project Manager I is responsible for assisting in the oversight of construction projects that deliver exceptional results for clients, generate profit, and produce lasting client relationships.At MYR Energy Services Inc. We work on a wide range of projects and EPC contracting services, including large transmission and substation projects, complete solar facilities, and energy storage.Essential functions of this position include:Assist Project Manager in a wide range of service management dutiesProactively develop effective, efficient solutions to issues that may ariseStudy bid specifications and drawings carefullyCommunicate continuously with clientsDeliver on projects in a timely mannerAttend networking events and travel to conferences and job sites as neededWork to build and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients, vendors and the subcontractor communityCoordinate closely with crews, superintendents, and other departments within the companyEnsure safety procedures and policies are in place and followedPrepare look-ahead documents and weekly/monthly progress reportsPrepare construction schedules in Microsoft Projects and/or PrimaveraRegular and predictable attendanceOther duties as assignedEssential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field locationUnderstand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standardsQualifications:Minimum 1 year of experience as Estimator or Project Manager in the electrical construction industryBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degreeKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Proficiency with MS Excel, and WordSuperior verbal and written communication skillsSuperior analytical and organizational skillsSuperior interpersonal and customer service skillsOSHA certificationsCompensation & Benefits:Salary $65,000-$80,000 / year commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith.
