Account Manager/ Customer Service Representative - (CSR) Personal Lines  

 

About the Position:

A Personal Lines Account Manager (CSR) is responsible for servicing the insurance needs of our Personal Lines Clients. In performing these duties, the CSR is expected to meet the agency’s defined standards for client service, professionalism, ethics, and work attitude. Applied EPIC Management Software is utilized. The position reports to the Personal Lines Manager (PLM). Main Personal carriers are Chubb, Safeco, Mercury, Travelers and E&S carriers

You have superior critical thinking skills and a high level of intelligence. You view the world optimistically and get along well with colleagues. You are comfortable juggling multiple tasks and can move seamlessly from project to project. A P&C license is required. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who can grow with us and work as a critical team member in perpetuating our agency as we fully move into our 96th year in business.

Major Job Responsibilities:

 

  1. Follow agency procedures for processing:

New business

Renewals

Endorsements

Cancellations

Billing

Payments

Claims

 

  1. Maintain the EPIC Management records in an up-to-date manner.

 

  1. Input all personal lines or commercial lines new business, renewals and policies received from the companies.

 

  1. Request endorsements as needed.

 

  1. Follow up on all assigned activities and properly document the follow up in the activity section of EPIC. Urgent activities are to be referred to the Producer or PLM for immediate follow up and a phone call if necessary.

 

  1. Accept special tasks as assigned by the PLM.

 

Qualifications:

Property & Casualty license is required.

Knowledge of State insurance laws, and P&C coverage definitions.

Intermediate knowledge of the Applied EPIC Agency Management System preferred, but not required.

 

Experience:

5-10 years of agency experience or carrier Underwriting background is preferred.

 

Skills/Abilities:

Strong oral and written communication abilities.

Able to organize, coordinate and direct workflow.

Attention to details

Reply to all emails and phone calls promptly, keeping the client informed.

Reliable, Dependable, Trustworthy and Discreet.
