Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director

the client seeks an experienced, collaborative leader for the role of Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director, Administration and Risk. Reporting to the Athletics Director and serving on the Athletics Executive Team, this position will help advance the operational effectiveness of a major athletics department and contribute to its strategic direction. As the primary liaison between the athletics department and university functions including Human Resources, General Counsel, and Athletics Compliance, the executive will provide leadership across human resources, compliance, risk management, legal operations, contract administration, and organizational strategy. The role includes modernizing key operational areas and advising on complex personnel, legal, and compliance matters in an evolving college athletics environment. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, solutions-oriented leader with exceptional judgment and executive presence. They should be able to build strong partnerships across a large, dynamic university environment and help navigate operational and governance challenges while maintaining sound decision-making and effective collaboration.
