Supervisor Advanced Practice Provider - Neonatal

Company Allegheny Health Network Job Overview General overview: This position performs the clinical activities of an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) and supervises the clinical execution of other APP staff within the department. The APP will manage and lead the neonatal program in the Northern Region. Essential Responsibilities Perform duties as assigned or required within the APP role, consistent with APP scope of practice, appropriate training and knowledge as per the APP department job description. (Approximately 50% of time) Perform management responsibilities including, but not limited to: involvement in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity. Plan, organize, staff, direct, and control the day‑to‑day operations of the department, develop and implement policies and programs as necessary; may have budgetary responsibility and authority. (Approximately 20% of time) Participate in monitoring patient satisfaction, identify opportunities, and address and resolve patient complaints. Also monitor and manage key financial and revenue cycle metrics including volumes, staff hours and allocation, expenses, and revenue. (Approximately 10% of time) Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including ongoing education as required, and manage APP CME education and approval processes. (Approximately 10% of time) Implement ongoing education as required or appropriate and continue to manage the APP CME education and approval process. (Approximately 10% of time) Other duties as assigned or required. Qualifications Minimum graduate from an ARC‑PA accredited program OR Master’s or post‑Master’s degree in Nursing. At least one year of clinical experience. Current Pennsylvania Physician Assistant license OR current Pennsylvania CRNP license and current State of PA RN licensure OR current multi‑state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC). CRNPs must obtain Pennsylvania Prescriptive Authority license within 60 days of hire. National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). CPR certification through the American Heart Association. Act34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate. Act33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate. Act73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate. Must be NRP certified. Preferred qualifications: None.
