Warehouse Associate - Austin, TX (6798)

General Warehouse Staff will support the warehouse operations for receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of products, parts, and materials. The role reports directly to the Warehouse Manager or Assistant Manager and may operate hand trucks, forklifts, or other heavy equipment. Key Responsibilities Load and unload merchandise as it is received or shipped to customers. Unload merchandise or materials from trucks onto warehouse platforms. Operate forklifts or hand lift merchandise as required. Use automated material‑handling equipment or conveyor belts to store and retrieve goods in the warehouse. Use a gas or electric forklift to load, unload, move or stack materials or products. Stack or pile materials safely at the specified locations. Supply work areas with required materials. Accurately scan products with a hand‑held scan gun. Transfer completed orders to the floor and group them for efficient deliveries. Lift, carry, pack, and move merchandise. Keep the area clean and clear of trash, boxes, and pallets; observe all “Warehouse 101” standards. Ensure totes, bins, and boxes are clearly identified with information placards; identify all material in the area. Assist with special projects, including inventory. Maintain a satisfactory attendance record. Perform custodial duties such as sweeping, dusting shelves, organizing merchandise, cleaning rest rooms, and keeping aisles clear. Maintain grounds and parking lot as needed. Qualifications Working knowledge of hand‑held product scan guns or ability to learn their functions. Experience in a warehouse or inventory control a plus. Can lift auto parts, buckets, cases of oil. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Physically able to walk, lift, bend. Works well in a fast‑paced environment. Keen attention to detail. Ability to work well as part of a team, share information, be organized and have good communication skills. Ability to multi‑task. Knowledge of warehousing and inventory control. Ability to maintain a good attendance record. Perform job functions with a high degree of speed and accuracy. Attitude that supports the company’s goals and values. Must maintain regular and prompt attendance. Education Requirements High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Certification Requirements Texas driver’s license.
