Duties

Major duties include preparing and assembling food products in accordance with recipes for quick service carryout, managing food and non-food supplies, and ensuring compliance with HACCP procedures. The role also involves stocking and maintaining the work area, supporting catering activities, and performing maintenance and cleaning duties in various kitchen areas. The employee must have knowledge of food preparation, safety, cash collection, sanitation, and customer service, and must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical effort includes standing, reaching, lifting, and walking, with frequent lifting of objects up to 30 pounds. Working conditions are in a noisy, sometimes warm kitchen and dining room area or remote site within the medical treatment facility, requiring strong customer relation skills due to direct interaction with customers. Food service workers are exposed to hot liquids, sharp cutting blades, hot working surfaces, and extreme temperature changes.
