Stamping Hot and conventional stamping (100–800 tons) Multi‑location facilities for high‑volume production Laser Cutting Multi‑axis laser systems for prototyping & production Flat and 3D part cutting, trimming, and hole piercing Versatile with various metals and thicknesses Spot welding for Ultra High Strength Steel & press‑hardened parts Highly automated robotic cells for precision and efficiency Focused on quality, speed, and cost reduction Position Summary The Quality Sorter is responsible for inspecting automotive parts and materials to ensure they meet company and customer quality standards. The role involves identifying defects, separating non‑conforming products, and supporting quality control processes in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Performs the day‑to‑day sort / GP12 activities of the organization. Shift Schedule 2nd Shift, Monday to Friday – 2:10 pm to 10:30 pm. Overtime is based on business needs. Job Duties Assist in performing the sorting of Non‑Conforming / On‑Hold material Assist in performing the GP‑12 marking, tagging, and inspection activitiesli> Record results from sort / GP‑12 activities Ensure proper labeling of certified / GP‑12 product Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the sort / GP‑12 area Maintain safety standards in the workplace Ensure quality in the workplace Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED preferred Quality experience in a metal stamping environment preferred Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge: Working knowledge of ISO/TS16949:2002 quality system; basic knowledge of production processes is preferred but not required. Skills: Computer proficiency (MS Office, Outlook, Internet tools); database and spreadsheet experience. Abilities: Read and operate quality measuring instruments (micrometer, scale, calipers, height gauges). Work effectively in a steady‑paced team. Manage time in a fast‑paced environment. Problem‑solve and communicate effectively. Protective equipment complies with procedures. Non‑air‑conditioned variable temperature factory; exposure to extreme heat and/or cold and other hazards. Loud noise. Random drug and alcohol testing, pre‑employment physical and background checks. Continuous use of body mechanics required: standing, lifting, bending, twisting, stooping.
