Field Project Manager - CSDENGEL Machinery North America has a job opportunity for a Field Project Manager - CSD. This role has overall responsibility for all aspects of assigned projects, including project planning and coordination, cost analysis and budget management, schedule and timeline management, resource planning, documentation, customer communication, and coordination of internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and customer personnel. The Field Project Manager is accountable for monitoring project performance, identifying risks and potential issues, developing corrective actions, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.The Field Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact and project owner throughout the project lifecycle, providing strong communication and coordination between the customer and internal ENGEL teams. While the role requires significant on-site involvement during project execution, the position is also responsible for the necessary back-office project management activities, including project tracking, cost and financial analysis, forecasting, scheduling, reporting, documentation, and follow-up. The ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects at different stages of execution is essential.The position requires extensive travel and a significant on-site presence at customer facilities supporting installations, modifications, commissioning activities, maintenance projects, and service operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, technically knowledgeable, and comfortable managing multiple complex projects in dynamic field environments while maintaining strong oversight of project scope, costs, schedules, resources, and customer expectations.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage all phases of assigned projects including planning, scheduling, execution, reporting, implementation, and closeout.Serve as the primary on-site & remote representative and point of contact for customers throughout project execution.Travel to customer facilities to oversee field operations, installations, equipment upgrades, commissioning activities, and service-related projects.Coordinate project activities between customers, subcontractors, vendors, field technicians, and internal departments.Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, manpower plans, and completion targets.Monitor project scope, budgets, timelines, labor utilization, and project performance throughout the project lifecycle.Conduct regular project meetings, customer updates, field coordination meetings, and project status reviews.Ensure all field activities are executed in compliance with company safety standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.Identify project risks, troubleshoot field issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize delays and disruptions.Manage project documentation including schedules, reports, change orders, meeting minutes, and customer communications.Maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication, responsiveness, and professional leadership.Support continuous improvement initiatives related to project execution, field operations, and customer satisfaction.Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and project delivery processes.Assist with project estimating, resource planning, and pre-project coordination activities when required.Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.QualificationsEducationPreferred – Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent).Experience managing projects in engineering, construction management, industrial technology, manufacturing, or related environments preferred.Equivalent combination of education and relevant field experience may be considered.ExperienceMinimum of 3–5 years of project management experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction, automation, mechanical, electrical, or field service environments preferred.Experience in injection molding, plastics processing, or related manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.Familiarity with injection molding equipment, auxiliary equipment, and related manufacturing processes is preferred.Experience managing projects at customer or industrial facilities is strongly preferred.Experience coordinating subcontractors, field labor, vendors, and cross-functional project teams preferred.Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in fast-paced environments.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong project management, leadership, and organizational skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong customer service and relationship management abilities.Working knowledge of injection molding equipment and manufacturing processes preferred.Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in field environments.Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.Ability to manage changing priorities and adapt to evolving project conditions.Working knowledge of industrial safety practices and job site procedures.Ability to read and interpret project schedules, scopes of work, drawings, and technical documentation.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project.Ability to effectively coordinate multiple stakeholders across various departments and customer organizations.Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and meet project deadlines.Physical RequirementsAbility to work in industrial, manufacturing, and construction-related environments.Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, and navigate active job sites for extended periods.Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety footwear.Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.Ability to travel frequently by vehicle and air transportation.Other RequirementsWork EnvironmentThis position regularly operates in customer facilities, industrial plants, manufacturing environments, and active project sites.
