Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a range of ultrasound examinations such as abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures by explaining processes clearly and with compassion
• Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions
• Maintain accurate procedure documentation and manage patient records through the electronic medical system
• Keep abreast of advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a closely related field
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Required Certifications

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent body
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
