Journeyman PlumberThe Journeyman Plumber oversees the installation and assembly of plumbing systems in a construction and job-site environment. This position is ideal for individuals looking to continue a career in plumbing with the opportunity to manage and oversee construction projects of all levels of complexity.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesValid Journeyman or Master plumbing license in the state of TexasExperience in commercial plumbing and the commercial construction environmentAbility to read and understand construction drawings, plans, and specificationsOrder, track, and manage materials and equipment for assigned projectEnsure adherence to job specific specs as well as state and local codesAbility to solder, braze, thread, solvent weld, mega-press, pro-press, and install crimp fittingsTest systems after installation to ensure a quality install and setup for inspectionEnsure pipe sizes, hangers and supports, means and methods are correct for the applicationTeamworkWillingness to work as part of the installation crew. This isn't strictly a supervisory role. We are looking for someone who will do the work and teach the other members of their crewDemonstrates and promotes a spirit of cooperation and teamwork throughout the companyWorks collaboratively with supervisors and fellow team membersContinually looks for ways to improve processes, efficiency, and personal performanceCustomer ServicePerforms all duties with a focus on quality and customer satisfactionSupports Company efforts to meet production schedules and customer requirementsCommunicates professionally with supervisors and team members to resolve issuesSafetyFollows all Company safety programs and policiesUses required PPE at all times when appropriateReports unsafe conditions, accidents, or injuries to the Supervisor or Safety Manager immediatelyCompletes all assigned safety training within required timeframesSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position doesn't have direct reports or hire/fire responsibilities but could serve as a crew lead on a construction project.QualificationsValid Journeyman or Master plumbing license in the state of TexasHigh school diploma or GEDWillingness to teach plumbing concepts and processesBasic math and measuring skillsAbility to use hand tools safelyStrong work ethic and reliabilityAbility to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand for extended periodsPhysical Demands & Environmental ExposureThe physical demands and environmental exposure described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
