Are you an experienced Outside Machinist looking fora hands-on role in ship repair ? Avail Staffing is seeking skilledprofessionals to support the repair of U.S. Naval vessels in Hampton Roads .If you have 3+ years of experience working on ABS or NAVSEA-certifiedvessels , we want you on our team!

What You'll Do:

Remove, repair,overhaul, install, and align main propulsion machinery and auxiliaryequipment , including:

Compressors, condensers, pumps, and forced draft blowers
Cargo handling machinery, anchor gear, cranes, and davits
Elevators, conveyors, firefighting systems, and more

Install and repair foundations for ship machinery and major components of ship armament.

Test and inspect installed machinery and equipment during dock and sea trials .

Use precision toolssuch as calipers, micrometers, height/depth gauges , and assist withoptical equipment.

Work fromblueprints, schematics, and technical documents to execute high-qualityinstallations and repairs.

Requirements:

Minimum 3+ years ofshipyard experience on ABS/NAVSEA vessels
Ability to pass a background check and obtain a DBIDS badge
Willingness to work day shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
